WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IN-PERSON PHYSIOTHERAPY AND TELE-REHAB?
In person physiotherapy requires the client to physically come into our clinic for their physiotherapy session. Tele-Rehab (also known as virtual physiotherapy, online physiotherapy, telehealth, teletherapy or telerehabilitation) allows the client to access their physiotherapy care over video conferencing software from their own home.
150 individual workouts per month
HOW THE VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS WORK:
Step 1: Make sure you’re good to go
Log onto your Jane account on your computer or laptop for optimal experience, please make sure you are using a recent version of Chrome or Firefox

Make sure you are somewhere private

Step 3: Give us your consent to continue.
We also accept ICBC clients for online physiotherapy sessions.
DOES TELE-REHAB WORK?
Telehealth is a widely used technology that connects patients to health care providers Physiotherapists are also providing online appointments. Virtual session still offers many of the benefits of in person treatment. For example, patient education plays vital role in physiotherapy. We realize that clients may feel more comfortable talking about their concerns from the comfort of their own home and share more information. The more information patient provides, the better understanding the physiotherapist has of the situation and is better equipped to help find a solution that will work.
With the help of video conferencing technology your physiotherapist will be able to perform movement analysis and assessment, teach and guide you through your therapeutic exercises in the same way as if you were in the clinic.
Tele-Rehab Physiotherapy can be used to treat many of the similar conditions that would otherwise be treated in person. These include: vestibular rehabilitation, sports injuries, exercise programming, post operative recovery, self joint mobilizations, pelvic floor rehabilitation, active rehab and many more.
We've seen that once a patient is open to the possibility and gives tele-rehabilitation a try, many of the clients actually prefer it since it's more convenient, and they take part in both in-person therapy and online physiotherapy as part of their treatment plan. Patient satisfaction is generally excellent, and both our in-person physiotherapy patients and those who take part in telerehabilitation achieve their functional goals.
