At that time, I suffered from periodic lower back pain, shoulder pain and a general lack of energy. I weighed a staggering 252
pounds. I struggled to complete 1 unassisted pull up and preferred cardio over any form of training. Having been involved in sports most of my life, it was difficult to acknowledge that I had let my health slide.
My initial goal was returning to a place of consistent regimented training. But what I got was so much more. I was fortunate enough to be paired with Cole McGraff. At that time, Cole was the newest addition to Prime Personal Training team. He came highly recommended with a degree in Kinesiology among other fitness related certifications. It was clear to me that he was well known as a great trainer but, also incredibly qualified.
Having worked as a Registered Nurse for the last decade, I truly appreciated Cole’s foundational knowledge base in health. Training sessions often became education sessions. He not only was he able to show me how to train, he was also able to provide me with rationale for why and when. In addition, Cole had a quiet confidence about him that seemed to resonate with me. That confidence allowed me to push myself harder and faster than I ever have before. And because of that, for the first time in my life I can actually say that I love my body.
I have trained with Cole for over two years. I now weigh 220 pounds. My lower back/shoulder pain in non-existent. I have had a significant decrease in total body fat percentage and an increase in total lean mass. I am able to deadlift over 300 pounds, overhead press over 150 pounds and complete unassisted pull ups into the double digits. I can see muscle development in my arms, chest, back and legs. I now look forward to daily training and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. Something that I never thought I would say. Thank you Cole, Aaron and Jesse, you have given me the confidence and knowledge I need to continue to make health and fitness my priority. I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
